Welcome to the Seventh Annual Taste of Belize competition, a distinct competition that showcases some of the finest culinary and bartending talent in Belize.
This multi-layered competition is designed for individual entries in the following categories:

Professional Chefs will compete in a 'live-kitchen' environment and are expected to prepare a main dish for four persons from the mystery protein ingredient included in a 'mystery basket'. The four identical dishes are picked up one-and-a-half hours after the start of the competition. A Professional Chef is defined as any professionally certified chef who has been employed in the capacity of a Chef in an establishment located in Belize for at least two years. Read more here |

Young Professional and Apprentice Chefs will
also compete in a special round of Taste of Belize that is especially designed
for them to display their impressive and diverse culinary styles. A Young Professional/Apprentice
Chef is defined as any hobby cook, food and beverage student and/or kitchen apprentice. Read

B.B.Q. Competition open to amateur cooks. Participants will be given 2 hrs to come up with their best B.B.Q. chicken and pork. Read more here

Bartenders compete to create 'The Signature Drink 2008'. The energy generated by the Bartenders’ Competition is not to be understated! Any hobby or professional bartender is eligible for this competition. Read more here

The Cake Decorating Competition
This competition is opened to any participant who likes to make and decorate cakes and is not a Professional Pastry Chef.
