Registration
The Number of contestants will be limited therefore competition slots will be secured at the point of payment.
Competition Rules and Guidelines:

This competition is opened to any participant who likes to make and decorate cakes and is not a Professional Pastry Chef.
- The Theme of the competition is "I Am Belize",
- Each participant must create a cake depicting a unique Belizean concept.
- Each participant must send in a detailed description of the type of cake
which includes: the recipe, cost breakdown and a listing of accessories/décor
to be used on the day of the competition. These must be submitted by September 20th, 2010.
- The committee will be providing the following: icing sugar, eggs, food coloring, cream of tartar and limes.
- Utensils such as pots, knives, bowls, spatulas and spoons will NOT be provided.
- The cake must be baked and brought to the competition. Note: Participants may bring any number of cakes to assemble for decoration however, the final product must be no less than 2 feet tall.
- Cake accessories and décor that require setting i.e. Roses may be done prior to the competition however, no decoration must be on the cake(s) prior to the start of the competition. Each contestant must supply any other accessories needed for the decoration of the cake. These however must be edible.
- Cleaning utensils and chemicals will be provided as contestants must clean their workstations when they are finished.
- The number of contestants will be limited, so contestants will be selected on a first come, first picked basis.
Judging
- Contestants will be judged on their skills and techniques, hygienic standards, and relevance to the theme.
- The cake will be judged mainly on presentation, relevance to theme and production methods.
- Timing will be important as contestants will only be given 2 ½ hours to prepare their presentation.
